A while back I posted the digital file to cut out these favor cake pieces with your Cricut. You can go back to the original post HERE to see the instructions and get the download files. I can't emphasize how much of a time saver this was. Having all the fold lines scored for me made life SO easy.
Here is my finished favor cake!
Everything but the paper came from Dollar Tree. I used candy rings, necklaces, and lipsticks to fill the boxes with. Those were from Dollar Tree as well. The mommy-to-be is having a girl after 3 boys. We really needed to celebrate everything girly!
Let's start at the top! I found this cute girl ribbon at Dollar Tree. I used about 1/2 to 3/4 of the roll for this ribbon.

For the top layer, I tied ribbon around each piece and tied a rocking horse onto each bow. The ribbon going around the slice made it look like a layer cake with a layer of frosting in the middle. The rocking horses came 18 to a pack, so I only needed 1 pack!

The middle layer uses some plastic safety pins to close up the box. In order to achieve this a had to snip one side of the plastic and put it through the two holes. 50 pins for $1. I could make another couple of cakes with all the leftovers! I cut out some scalloped trim with hearts to embellish just a little bit. The scallop border is at the end of the post.

For the bottom layer I found these cute bracelets. 12 in a package. I ended up needing to use blue and green to get the 11, but I think they looked just great. I used a different scalloped border at the bottom of this layer. The download for that is also at the end of the post.

Here is the finished product again! I'm not sure if anyone at the shower had seen something like this before and it was a great conversation piece.

Here is a wide shot of the present table, with the cake on it and the french dress garland I made. Can't wait to show that off next!

I found both of these files on the Sure Cuts a Lot forum, but I had edit them to make them the right size for each layer.
Middle layer - Heart Scallop
Bottom Layer - Flower Scallop
