The star of this recipe is the Dole Pineapple slices. You also use some of the juice from the pineapple in the burgers. It adds a great flavor to your burgers. I also like that it looks so much fancier than a regular hamburger. Presentation is important!
Now that your taste buds are all worked up, here is the recipe:

4. Grill patties, brushing with remaining teriyaki mixture, until brown and cooked through. Place pineapple slices on grill and cook until lightly golden brown.

5. Serve burgers on buns with cheese and pineapple.
The burger was so tender and juicy. The ginger, and teriyaki gave the patty a really nice flavor. I use ground turkey a fair bit but I have never made turkey burgers. My husband said they were so tender and delicious that we have to this more often.

ReplyDeleteI was at a restaurant the other day that served a regular hamburger with grilled pineapple. I didn't try it since there were so many options, but it's something I will definitely try at home now. I'm one of those people who always has pineapple as a topping on my pizza, so why not on a burger.
