I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cascade. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
I planned to start this post by talking about how dishes are not my favorite chore, but then I remembered that I dislike all chores. Ha, ha, ha. Sad, but oh so true. I do have some good news though for others that don’t like to do the dishes. Cascade Platinum Pacs have totally changed the way I do my dishes.
Growing up, my Mom taught me that you had to pre-wash the dishes. Our dishwasher wasn’t very good and if you didn’t pre-wash, you would end up with stuck on food. Yuck! My whole adult life I have continued to pre-wash my dishes. It seems a little silly, essentially the dishwasher was just sanitizing them, because I had already scrubbed them clean with hot water and dish soap. Well no more pre-washing for me!
A few weeks ago, I received a sample of Cascade Platinum Pacs to try out. The package made some big claims including that Cascade Platinum Pacs:
• Powers away tough, 24 hour stuck-on food
• Eliminates the need to pre-wash dishes
• Helps maintain the look of new machines and helps prevent additional hard-water build-up
• Delivers exceptional dishware shine
I decided to throw my dish washing routine to the wind and threw my dishes, stuck on food included, into the dishwasher with a Cascade Platinum Pac. I was blown away because my dishes were clean, shiny, and beautiful. I would show you a before and after, but dirty dishes are gross. No one wants to see that.
I can tell you that my dishes are now sparkling clean and food photography ready. When I make recipes for the blog, the staging and props I use are almost as important as the food. Clean sparkling dishes are a must.
Do you watch the show Top Chef? If you do, then you are familiar with Gail Simmons. She is also the editor of Food+Wine magazine. She has partnered with Cascade to let people know why presentation is so important. Gail says, “It’s more than just a great-tasting recipe, but also perfect presentation. Sparkling dishes, shining flat ware and spot-free glasses truly let you put your best food forward with culinary creations that pop!” If you visit Pinterest, or sites like Foodgawker, you can immediately see what a difference the plates make in a photo.
Cascade Platinum is hosting a themed contest on Instagram to see how shiny Cascade makes all of your pots, pans, and dishes. You can get all of the details here: http://tinyurl.com/PlatBlog. Each week of the contest two winners will receive a Whirlpool dishwasher. One grand prize winner will win a Platinum kitchen makeover. This is the last week to enter, so head on over and enter with a photo of your sparkling tablescape.
You can also head over to the Cascade Facebook page to keep up with the brand.
What’s your dishwashing routine? I would love to hear about it in the comments.
